The Geneva Water Hub offers a diverse range of classes and teaching formats, including an annual summer school, fully-credited distance-learning courses, free MOOCs, and tailor-made training courses and programs, to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills to utilize water for peace.

At the Geneva Water Hub, we believe that empowering individuals with the knowledge and skills to utilize water for peace is essential for creating a better world for all. That's why we offer a diverse range of classes and teaching formats that leverage both theoretical insights and practical expertise to deliver world-class education and training opportunities.

Our flagship offerings include an annual two-week summer school held in Geneva, fully-credited distance-learning courses available in both English and French, and free Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) accessible to all. Additionally, we specialize in developing tailor-made training courses and programs, which can be delivered in blended, in-person, or online formats, catering to a wide array of participants including civil society representatives, international organization personnel, military officers, government officials, and diplomats.

At the heart of our mission is the commitment to inform and inspire the next generation of water professionals and leaders. Through our ever-growing network of alumni, we foster a global community of practice—a collective of professionals dedicated to advancing water for peace across diverse scales and geographies.

Summer School in Water Governance: Frameworks and Negotiations

The Geneva Water Hub's annual Summer School on "Water Governance: Frameworks and Negotiations," held since 2015, is a blended training program designed for professionals acting at strategic levels.-

Massive Online Open Courses (MOOCs)

The Geneva Water Hub has played a pivotal role in conceiving, developing, and delivering three Massive Online Open Courses (MOOCs). With a collective enrollment surpassing 58 000 students on the Coursera platform, our commitment to expanding both our offerings and impact remains unwavering. We continue to shape the landscape of online education, empowering a diverse global audience with knowledge and insights that contribute to a sustainable and peaceful water future.-

Environmental Peacebuilding: Exploring Theory, Law, and Practice

The Geneva Water Hub, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, is offering a specialized training course on "Environmental Peacebuilding" in Ljubljana.-

Tailor-Made Courses (online and classroom)

The Geneva Water Hub also responds to specific training requests and develops and implements high-quality customized programmes and courses which fit the training needs of its partners. Course content, programme, training material and assessment activities are developed in close consultation with the organisation requesting Geneva Water Hub expertise. In addition, we can also take care of any evaluation and reporting required. -
