Water for Peace Diplomacy Global

Since 2018, the Geneva Water Hub has been working with regional and thematic partners to establish the Global Observatory for Water and Peace (GOWP) - a global platform of regional and local implementing partners from well-established, credible and neutral organizations committed to the agenda of water for peace.

Since 2018, the Geneva Water Hub has been working with regional and thematic partners to establish the Global Observatory for Water and Peace (GOWP) - a global platform of regional and local implementing partners from well-established, credible and neutral organizations committed to the agenda of water for peace. To date the GOWP has produced two milestone reports; its first Analytic report (link), and its policy brief to the UN2023 Water Conference (link). The GOWP is a Water and Peace Champion, and shares analysis of the relevant advances in the use of water as a catalyzer for peace to date and the priorities given on the question of water and peace.

The Water for Peace Diplomacy Global programme builds upon the work developed with the GOWP partners to date and includes projects at both the bilateral and multilateral levels.
