Session Description

This 90-minute session will explore innovative solutions in transboundary water cooperation as promoted by Switzerland and partners. Following-up the UN 2023 Water Conference to accelerating change, it will showcase solutions linking water diplomacy, financing, and technology on the regional level in Africa, the Middle East and Switzerland (French-Swiss transboundary watershed sharing) and on the global stage. The session will give insights into the current trends in transboundary water cooperation and act as inspiration for action on the ground through a combined ‘out of the box’ approach in the diplomacy – finance – technology nexus.

Geneva Water Hub Senior Science Policy Manager Laura Turley is invited as a speaker to this session to present the case of "French-Swiss transboundary watershed sharing".
