Side-event on “Hydro-Climate Services for All” took place at the sidelines of the COP22 in Marrakech. This event was organized by UN-Water and was co-hosted by UNECE, UNESCO, UN-ESCWA and WMO.

It aimed to bridge the gap between the producers and users of hydro-climate services, between water and climate communities, and between science and policy-makers.

Andres Tarand, former Prime Minister of Estonia and Member of the Global High Level Panel on Water and Peace, made a keynote speech on this occasion. He stressed the need for a strong political message on hydroclimate services to address the challenges of climate change, development, and peace and security. You can view the full speech below:
