The Geneva Water Hub, in collaboration with the University of Lavras (Brazil) and the International Association for Water Law (AIDA), will host a special session on “Water Resources and Climate Change: An Environmental and Humanitarian Crisis” on 3 December from 16:15 to 17:45. The session will explore how climate change acts as a threat multiplier for water-related conflicts, featuring presentations on the human rights to water and sanitation in times of crisis, and on strategies to ensure that water adaptation and resilience measures are not only technically effective, but also socially legitimate and grounded in historical and political realities.
