Job description
The position is part of Geneva Water Hub, a center attached to the Institute of Environmental Sciences, bringing together policy, training and research dimensions, with the aim of demonstrating the benefits of using water for peace, humanitarian aid and development. This position is part of the 4th phase of the GWH project (2023-2027), resulting from collaboration between UNIGE and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC, Global Water Program).
The activities of this position mainly concern support for the administrative management of the Geneva Water Hub (GWH).
Responsibilities include financial management, but also supervision of HR processes and logistical support.
Main activities
- Coordination and monitoring of budget, finances and expenses;
- Financial reporting;
- Preparation of key documentation and support financial meetings;
- Provide executive secretariat support, including organization and coordination of centre committees
Required qualifications
Professional maturity of equivalent
Additional training in financial management and/or management.
Minimum 3 years of experience in the financial management of an organization and/or audits.
Excellent command of French and English.
Analytical mind and good understanding of the issues surrounding a scientific and political theme such as water for peace, humanitarian aid and development. University standards, guidelines and procedures (including Oracle and SAP).
