The Geneva Water Hub and the University of Geneva’s Centre for Continuing and Distance Education are pleased to invite you to this two hour webinar on "The Relationship between the Principle of Equitable and Reasonable Utilization and the Obligation Not to Cause Significant Harm".

The webinar will take place on Friday 4 November 2022 between 5:00 and 7:00pm (CET).

Dr. Salman M. A. Salman (Fellow, IWRA and Editor, Brill Research Perspectives in International Water Law), Prof. Mutoy Mubiala (Associate Professor of International Human Rights Law, University of Kinshasa (DRC)) and Dr. Mara Tignino (Lead International Water Law Specialist, Geneva Water Hub) will present the topic that will be divided into two parts:

  • Part I: The Relationship between the two principles by Dr. Salman M. A. Salman
  • Part II: Case studies on the relationship between the two principles: The Nile and The Tigris and Euphrates cases by Prof. Mutoy Mubiala and Dr. Mara Tignino.

The biographies of the experts and the detailed programme will be sent in due time to the ones whom registered.

This learning event is organised within the framework of the 7th edition of the e-Learning Course on International Water Law and the Law of Transboundary Aquifers.
