Water Talks Series n°5 - Prof. J. Harou

The Geneva Water Hub is proud to welcome you to the 5th edition of the Water Talk Series, on Thursday 25 April, between 19:00 and 21:30, RTS building, Quai Ernest-Ansermet 20, in Geneva. This series is an open-speech opportunity for researchers to expose and explain their ideas, their stances on contemporary challenges linked to water governance. The presentations, short and impactful, are in English.

Julien Harou is Chair in Water Engineering at the University of Manchester. He has a PhD from the University of California Davis in water resources engineering and economics and an Master’s degree from Cornell University. Julien's group contributes globally leading research in water resources planning and management, water-energy-food systems, and environmental management software.  He is research director of the $10M RCUK-funded FutureDAMS project, lead of NERC's Water Stewardship Portal project and a coinvestigator of NERC's UMFULA project. In 2010 he received a NASA Launch Innovator award for his group's contributions to water management and open software. Julien is an Honorary Professor at UCL.
